Delete your account & data

You're in control of your data. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

• Your account record (email, account ID, sign-in linkage)
• All your saved trips, prompts, and chat history
• Any preferences (units, traveler type, notifications)
• Authentication tokens and sessions
• Backups containing your data — purged within the same 30-day window

What stays (and why)

• Anonymous diagnostics already detached from your identity — these can't be re-linked to you, so they're not "your data" any more in a privacy sense.
• Apple subscription receipts — Apple, not Skir, owns these. Manage them in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
• Records we must keep by law — for example, tax records of subscription payments. We keep the minimum required and discard the rest.

Step-by-step from inside the app

1. Open Skir on your iPhone.
2. Tap the profile icon → Settings.
3. Tap Account.
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
5. Confirm with Face ID / Touch ID. You'll see a confirmation screen — tap Delete permanently.
6. You'll be signed out immediately. Your data is queued for deletion and removed within 30 days.

If you can't access the app

Email privacy@skir.app from the address you used to sign up. Include:

• The email address on the account
• "Account deletion request" in the subject line
• Optional: the approximate date you created the account

We'll verify the request, delete the account, and confirm by email — usually within 5 business days, always within 30.

Cancelling your subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription, because Apple — not Skir — handles subscription billing. Cancel first to avoid being charged for a renewal:

1. iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions.
2. Tap Skir → Cancel Subscription.
3. Then delete the account using the steps above.
