Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form an agreement between you and Skir (“Skir,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Skir mobile app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Skir. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

You can sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. How Skir works

Skir is designed for two people who pair with each other. When you pair, you and your partner share certain content — such as daily answers, quiz results, memories, and planned dates. Some features use a double-blind reveal, meaning your partner’s answer is hidden until you both respond. You are responsible for who you choose to pair with.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive;
• attempt to access another couple’s data or any account that isn’t yours;
• reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service; or
• upload content you don’t have the right to share.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create in Skir — your answers, memories, photos, and notes. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and your partner (for example, to sync it between your devices and reveal answers at the right time). We do not sell your content or use it to advertise to you.

7. Subscriptions & billing

Skir offers a free tier and an auto-renewable subscription, Skir Plus, which unlocks paid features for both partners. Current pricing:

• Monthly — $9.99 per month.
• Yearly — $39.99 per year, including a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through your Apple App Store account. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. If you start a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store’s policies; we generally cannot issue refunds directly.

8. Not professional advice

Skir provides prompts, insights, and general guidance — including optional AI-assisted coaching — to help you connect with your partner. It is not a medical, psychological, counseling, or therapy service, does not provide clinical diagnosis or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional help. If you are in crisis or need professional support, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (for example, Apple and Google for sign-in and payments, and providers that power notifications and optional AI features). Your use of those features may also be subject to the third party’s terms. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will always be preserved.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skir will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. You can delete your account in the app or by contacting us.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
