Make your screenshot set in four steps
1. Choose Google Play — Android phone
Start from the Android workflow. Confirm the platform in the template dialog and check that your screenshot canvases use the intended portrait size.
2. Replace every sample app screen
Capture the app version you plan to publish and remove personal information from demo content. Upload those images into the template. Skir designs the store artwork around your captures; it does not run or capture your Android app.
3. Write one useful message per screenshot
Describe the action visible on that screen. Adjust headlines, colors and placement, then inspect the set at a smaller viewing size for readability. Remove placeholder statistics, reviews and awards.
4. Save, export and check
Wait for your changes to save. Choose the eligible screenshots and export PNG or JPEG files. Open the completed download and check each image rather than relying only on the editor preview.

Plan the message before the design
Use this three-screen brief as a starting point. The three rows reflect Skir's free export allowance, not the requirements for every Google Play placement.

For a hypothetical recipe app, this could become “Find a recipe for tonight,” “Save the recipes you want to cook,” and “See your saved recipes together.” Use those messages only if the corresponding features exist. Replace the example with your app's own story.
If a fourth screenshot explains a distinct benefit, plan it too. You can edit it on Free; exporting beyond the eligible first three requires a paid plan.
Phone screenshots and feature graphics are different assets
A 1080 × 1920 phone screenshot is not the separate 1024 × 500 Google Play feature graphic. This workflow focuses on portrait phone screenshots; review tablet and other device requirements separately.
Google's basic screenshot rules include JPEG or 24-bit PNG without alpha, dimensions between 320 and 3840 pixels, and a longest side no more than twice the shortest. A 1080 × 1920 canvas fits that dimensional range. Meeting it does not establish that the content is approved.
Google also lists additional screenshot requirements for certain recommendation formats. For apps, those include at least four qualifying screenshots. Skir's three free exports alone do not satisfy that four-image condition. Consult the official Google Play preview asset requirements for your app and device coverage.
Review the story before uploading
Google's promotional guidance recommends showing the actual app experience and keeping the interface prominent in the first three screenshots. Treat template headlines as supporting context: remove invented rankings, awards, testimonials and install calls to action. Google also recommends avoiding device imagery, so compare a framed composition with a clear UI-led version. Review captions at phone size, then add concise alt text describing each screenshot when you upload it in Play Console. These content checks are separate from the file-format and dimension rules.

No. File checks do not certify app content or predict conversion. Confirm store requirements and use your own listing experiments to assess performance.
