Build a reviewable screenshot handoff for a client
Organize approved app captures, editable screenshot design and a clear client handoff. Understand Skir’s current workflow and access limits before committing a project.
A useful client handoff has a traceable app build, approved claims and exact delivery files. Use Skir for the editable screenshot composition, and keep client approval and asset permissions in your existing project process. Confirm account and plan suitability before promising a portfolio workflow.
Collect a brief that can be checked
Ask the client for the app version, target stores and devices, release languages, feature priorities and an approved demo account. Record who can approve the wording and who will upload the files. Obtain permission to use supplied screenshots, branding, photographs and fonts; public availability does not establish those rights.
Separate the client’s app from the design sample
Start from an existing library template and replace the sample app interface with the client's approved capture. Keep that app image intact. Edit the surrounding headline and decoration to explain a real feature, then record any claim that needs additional client evidence.
| Deliverable | Owner to assign | Evidence to retain |
|---|---|---|
| App captures | Client or app developer | Build, device, locale and demo-state notes |
| Copy and composition | Designer and client approver | Approved wording and numbered review images |
| Final files | Release reviewer | ZIP, dimensions, order and approval date |
| Store submission | Authorized store account owner | Upload and review status |
Use external review with explicit versions
Export the available screenshots, name the review folder by revision, and request comments against screenshot numbers. Incorporate approved changes in the editor, save and export a new version. Keep an approved ZIP separate from working files so a draft cannot be mistaken for the delivery.
This is a workflow using exported files. It does not imply that Skir provides guest review links, client approval roles, white-label portals or project ownership transfer. Do not share account credentials as a substitute for those features. Use your established secure handoff tool for client review.
Check capacity and commercial requirements first
Free covers one app with three editable/exportable screenshots per set. Paid plans have different app and export allowances, and their current availability is shown on the pricing page. If a contract requires multi-user permissions, a specific data agreement, ownership transfer or an automated API, confirm those requirements separately before committing to Skir for that engagement.
Make the final handoff reproducible
Include the exact exported files, screenshot order, platform, locale, app build and approval record. Keep the editable source within the account arrangement agreed with the client. Use the release manifest, localization review matrix and release checklist as working documents.
The annotated examples can help discuss a visual direction. They are fictional design samples, not client references or proof of commercial results.
