A Google Play feature graphic is a landscape image measuring 1024 × 500 pixels. Export it as JPEG or 24-bit RGB PNG with no alpha channel.

A separate asset from screenshots

The feature graphic accompanies promotional placements and can act as the background for a preview video’s play button. It does not replace the screenshots showing your app’s actual interface. Do not upload a 1024 × 500 feature graphic into a phone screenshot slot and assume the rules are interchangeable.

Prepare and inspect the file

  1. Create a 1024 × 500 landscape canvas.
  2. Use your own app’s visual identity and keep essential text and artwork readable.
  3. Export RGB PNG without alpha or JPEG. A transparent-looking or opaque RGBA PNG needs conversion.
  4. Select “Feature graphic” in the checker and inspect the exported file.
  5. Upload it in the feature graphic field of Play Console and review its crop and video overlay.
